Meet the Leaves: How Camp Evergreen Connects to the Evergreen Adventure Group™
At Camp Evergreen, adventure is about more than simply going somewhere fun. It’s about learning, exploring, connecting, and creating experiences that stay with you long after the trip is over.
That’s why Camp Evergreen is part of a larger adventure ecosystem: Evergreen Adventure Group™ (EAG).
Within the EAG family are specialized adventure programs called Leaf Adventures™. Each Leaf is designed with a particular audience and experience in mind, while sharing the same commitment to meaningful travel, memorable experiences, education, and adventure.
Think of it as a tree.
Evergreen Adventure Group is the tree.
The Leaves are the branches that create different types of adventures.
Camp Evergreen is one of the places where those adventures come to life.

🍃 GreenLeaf Adventures™ — Learning Through Adventure
GreenLeaf Adventures™ is the youth-focused branch of the Evergreen adventure ecosystem.
GreenLeaf is designed for children and teens and combines education, exploration, culture, recreation, and enrichment into experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom.
A GreenLeaf adventure might take students behind the scenes at a major science institution, introduce them to aviation and aerospace, immerse them in the arts, or give them the opportunity to experience a destination they've only read about.
The philosophy is simple:
Learning doesn't have to stop when school lets out.
Through GreenLeaf, young explorers can learn by doing, seeing, asking questions, meeting people, and experiencing the world firsthand.
One of our first major GreenLeaf initiatives is an Aviation & Aerospace Expedition, designed for students interested in aviation, space, science, technology, engineering, and exploration.
Planned experiences include opportunities to explore Space Center Houston, participate in aviation and aerospace-focused educational programming, experience destination-based activities, and enjoy group travel designed specifically for young explorers.
And because GreenLeaf is part of the larger EAG ecosystem, youth adventures can eventually extend beyond Camp Evergreen into destinations and experiences throughout the region and beyond.
❤️ RedLeaf Adventures™ — Adventure for Everyone
RedLeaf Adventures™ focuses on creating inclusive adventure opportunities for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
We believe adventure should not be limited by traditional assumptions about who can participate.
RedLeaf is being developed around the idea of accessible, welcoming, thoughtfully planned experiences where participants can enjoy recreation, exploration, cultural experiences, and travel in ways that respect individual needs.
That may include carefully selected attractions, accessible transportation and accommodations, sensory-conscious planning, supportive staffing, and experiences designed with accessibility in mind.
RedLeaf is an important part of the EAG vision because adventure should have room for everybody at the table—and everybody on the bus.
As the program develops, Camp Evergreen and EAG will continue identifying destinations and activities that can provide meaningful opportunities for RedLeaf participants and their families.
🧡 OrangeLeaf Family Adventures™ — Adventure for the Whole Family
OrangeLeaf Family Adventures™ is designed for families who want to get out, explore, and make memories together.
These experiences are less about a traditional "tour" and more about creating a family day or getaway worth remembering.
OrangeLeaf adventures can include seasonal events, outdoor activities, family-friendly attractions, day trips, overnight getaways, and special destination experiences.

OrangeLeaf gives families another way to experience the Pacific Northwest without having to plan every detail themselves.
🌲 So Where Does Camp Evergreen Fit?
This is where things get exciting.
Camp Evergreen is not separate from the Evergreen Adventure Group—it is part of the ecosystem.
Camp Evergreen provides a home base for youth-focused programming, camps, educational experiences, excursions, and adventure opportunities.
As the Leaf programs grow, Camp Evergreen can serve as a gateway into those experiences.
For example:
A young person may discover adventure through Camp Evergreen → participate in a GreenLeaf educational expedition → return for another Camp Evergreen program → eventually participate in additional EAG experiences as they grow.
The same ecosystem can support families through different stages of life.
A family might participate in an OrangeLeaf family adventure together. Their child might later participate in GreenLeaf. A family member with accessibility needs might participate in RedLeaf.
And as the Evergreen Adventure Group continues to expand, additional Leaf programs will create even more opportunities for different audiences.

We're building this ecosystem intentionally, starting with experiences that reflect what Evergreen Adventure Group is all about: education, adventure, family, community, and exploration.
Some of the experiences we're developing for our first year include:
🚀 Aviation & Aerospace Adventures
Our GreenLeaf Aviation & Aerospace Expedition is one of our flagship youth initiatives.
The experience is being developed around aviation and space exploration, with planned educational experiences connected to Space Center Houston and other destination activities.
🎃 Fall Family Adventures
OrangeLeaf is being developed with seasonal family experiences in mind, including harvest-season outings, pumpkin patches, hayrides, outdoor activities, and other fall traditions.
🏕️ Family Getaways
We're exploring family-friendly overnight and cabin-style adventures that give families the opportunity to step away from their normal routine and spend quality time together.
🎨 Arts & Cultural Experiences
GreenLeaf adventures will also introduce young people to arts, culture, museums, performances, and educational institutions.
The goal isn't simply to visit these places.
It's to experience them.
🌲 Outdoor Exploration
Outdoor adventures will remain an important part of the Evergreen experience—from nature-focused activities to destination excursions that get people outside and moving.
♿ Inclusive Adventures
As RedLeaf develops, we'll continue identifying experiences and destinations where accessibility can be incorporated into the planning from the beginning rather than treated as an afterthought.

The Evergreen Adventure Group was created around a simple idea:
There is more than one way to experience adventure.
A child may want to explore space.
A family may want to spend a fall Saturday together.
A student may want to discover a career they never knew existed.
A person with a disability may want the opportunity to experience something new in a welcoming environment.
Those are different adventures—but they can all grow from the same tree.
That's the vision behind Evergreen Adventure Group™ and its Leaf Adventures™.
